How did we DOSE on 6/9? If you weren’t there you TOTALLY missed it, but, we’ve got an awesome highlight reel. Get in here — and check out these pictures!

DOSE-goers popped out of the ARTPENTRY cake, perfectly accessorized, thanks to Floyd A Davis IV.

We got (the best kind of) iced by the coffee-masters of Dark Matter.

And tea from TeaGschwendner.

The Artfully Disheveled guys hooked us up with new ties and squares.

And The Great American Cheese Collection made us — and so many more — so very happy.

And just LOOK at this Royal Pie from Pleasant House!

Pleasant House also bottled their Royal Ginger Fizz and gave it a DOSE debut!

We ate plenty of Mayana Chocolate samples and took home boxes of DOSE bars.

In case of emergency, Jon Shaft‘s debut art collection had us covered.

Then we played with our beloved *Play. Check ‘em out in Logan Square!

There was fresh produce from Door to Door Organics.

And Nessalla Kombucha too!

Not to mention the free-flowing Goose Island and delicious Begyle brews.

There were Firecakes.

And rhubarb Rustic Tarts (along with ready-to-roll pastry!)

Plus homemade pop tarts aplenty from Truffle Truffle.

We shopped Roslyn.

And Milk Handmade, too.

Got our Summer bling from my nOma.

And got re-hooked on Dallas Maynard, Cities in Dust, Mineralogy and Wanderlustings.

Not to mention DOSE-goers getting hooked up by the master herself, the one and only Gillion Carrara.

We took home some windowsill herbs — and recipes for fresher, more flavorful cocktails — from Field & Florist.

And fell in love with Katherine Anne Confections.

For lunch we had “El Che” from La Sirena Clandestina — a preview of their new brunch menu, beginning this Sunday!

Then we got down with boys from Yo Soy.

Then slid straight into homebase with all-organic sliders (chickpea, for vegetarians!) straight from Indie Burger.

The day saw Teamwork Bags sailing off their table.

And tons of Underground Meats charcuterie.

We made our new friendships — and intentions — official at Lifetherapy.

And lightened up with glitter tattoos from A Muse.

Seemed like everyone enjoyed eating al fresco.

And came back for Debbie Carlos‘ jewelry debut — and her poster prints, too.

Then we took the time to adore Alix Roskowski‘s fine stained glass art.

And saw even the littlest ones got into the hunt!

There was complimentary bloody mary from McClure’s Pickles and Letherbee Distillers.

And plenty of friends to help us make the right decisions at Vile & Valiant.

Not to mention Daniel Evans of Domestic Workwear hanging in a sea of babes.

And a DELICIOUS birthday cake straight from Sweet Cakes Bakery!

It was a splendid day to DOSE!

Our market gathering is about matching the people who make beautiful things with the people who love them.

DOSE is about knowing what you are putting into your body and bringing into your life.

Jon Shaft dosed his own line of functional art at the Market on Sunday, June 9, for the very first time, alongside a number of fantastic home and art purveyors, and, as always, the best in food & fashion!

Come hungry.

It’s hard to get a spot at this table, but not on Sunday. Yo Soy doses three courses, featuring their signature claypot chicken with cajeta, cilantro, and mexican rice. Indie Burger grills up organic sliders for vegetarians to omnivores, pairing ‘em with homemade root beer floats and sweet potato chips. La Sirena Clandestina debuts the ”El Che,” a panini with roast pork loin, ham and swiss, house-made habanero pickles, mustard and malagueta mayo. Delish!

Get fine.

Winifred Grace x Susan Sherrick equals rich, highly covetable leather clutches embellished with Winnie’s bronze signature. Redshift stuns with fresh a new collection of black blossom collars, killer on t-shirts and dresses. Hidden Folk doses all-natural body tonics for maximum, post-sunshine moisture. And Wanderlustings lets fly her brand-new art nouveau and brutalist architecture-inspired pieces, each hand drawn and entirely one-of-a-kind.

Love some.

Rustic Tart serves up whole tarts, rhubarb slices and ready to roll pastry (!). Cult favorite Katherine Anne Confections doles out hand-dipped truffles made with local wildflower honey and so much more. Fresh rhubarb and strawberry preserves feature at Pear Tree Preserves – get into the first releases of the season! And the question is, where won’t we take the Apolis Market tote from Haberdash?

Get set for outdoor dining with McClure’s Garlic Dill Pickles and Bloody Mary Mixer and charcuterie — Spanish Chorizo, Saucisson Sec and Tuscan Salami — from Underground Meats. Jon Shaft doses a debut collection of art objets, cubical boomboxes, break in case of emergency boxes and transparent glass prints. Pilsen favorite Modern Co-op hooks up your house with vintage barware, planters and more. Dosing as Lx&r Glass Studio, we welcome Alex Roskowski from Michigan and his absolutely fantastical take on the lost art of stained glass! Hello, fashionistas: check out his gorgeous mirrors! And Gillion Carrara serves up her uber-sculptural jewelry and accoutrement while GREER brings us the boldest, most beautiful papers around.

June Dose Cause: Sprouting Out Initiative

We are very excited to welcome the Sprouting Out Initiative as our June Dose Cause! We were first introduced to Sprouting Out at the Good Food Festival + Conference back in March and quickly fell hard for their mission AND their amazing products.

Sprouting Out is a teen-led initiative started by the Concordia Place Emerging Leader teens in 2010. These teens began by planting and maintaining neighborhood gardens, providing fresh, local produce to the community.

Awesome, right?! It gets better.

In 2012 the Sprouting Out Social Entrepreneurs project began. Educating teens on the fundamentals of running a socially responsible business, the program provides over 65 paid internships a year, giving participants hands-on training in entrepreneurial innovation, money management, creativity, networking, responsible business practices, creating social capital and fiscal responsibility & sustainability.

Check it out and meet the teens on Sunday, June 9th at DOSE! They’ll be selling their hand-crafted soaps, lip balms, bath salts, soothing salve and shea balms — all proudly made in the Abbey Brown Soaps studio right here in Chicago!
